"The child is both a hope and a promise for mankind."

Who We Are

Siena Academy is a Catholic Montessori School in Great Falls, Virginia. We offer toddler, primary, and elementary programs. Siena Academy is the parish school of Saint Catherine of Siena Catholic Church.

Our Mission

The mission of Siena Academy is to partner with parents, the primary educators of their children, in forming the whole child—mind, body, and soul. Rooted in the teachings of the Catholic Church and formed by the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, we guide each child into a deep, personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Anchored in the Montessori Method, we cultivate a love of learning, a spirit of wonder, and a life grounded in faith, virtue, and service to God.

Parent Education & Enrichment

Siena Academy is committed to partnering with parents in order to support them as the primary educators of their children. We offer classes for parents and their children to attend together, as well as parent nights on topics relevant to Montessori education.

Our Partnership:

We are pleased to join with Porto Charities in providing all of God’s children with the education they deserve. It is a great honor to incorporate their wonderful mission into the programs at Siena Academy.

“We cannot know the consequences of suppressing a child's spontaneity when he is just beginning to be active. We may even suffocate life itself. That humanity which is revealed in all its intellectual splendor during the sweet and tender age of childhood should be respected with a kind of religious veneration. It is like the sun which appears at dawn or a flower just beginning to bloom. Education cannot be effective unless it helps a child to open up himself to life.”
